The Good Samaritan Society has elected one newcomer and re-elected four incumbents to its national Board of Directors. The selections were made during the Society’s Annual Meeting in Sioux Falls, S.D.
New to the board is the Rev. John Holt, a Lutheran pastor in Albert Lea, Minn. Those re-elected to the board include Lori Bussler, the administrator at Good Samaritan Society – Winthrop in Winthrop, Minn.; Joanna Randall, executive director of Good Samaritan Society – Communities of Olathe in Olathe, Kan.; Patricia Haugen of Sioux Falls, S.D., an independent advocate consultant for cancer research and cancer grant review; and the Rev. Andrea DeGroot-Nesdahl of Park Ridge, Ill., the coordinator of the Lutheran Malaria Initiative and HIV and AIDS Strategy for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In addition, the Society named Michelle Juffer, administrator at Good Samaritan Society – Wagner in Wagner, S.D., to fill vacancy on the board. She will fill out the term of Kim Johansen, who resigned to take a job at the Good Samaritan Society’s National Campus in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Society also named board member Susan Nickerson of Hays, Kan., as board chairwoman.
